Middle, high, and sometimes elementary school students may audition to be involved as performers or technical crew members in SCS’s fall and spring productions (musical and non-musical).SCS has presented over 40 successful productions, some of the most recent being the Singin' in the Rain , Anastasia, Frozen Jr., Charlie Brown, Rodgers and Hammerstein classic The King & I, a compelling stage adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, The Sound of Music, Treasure Island, and Disney’s Newsies and Beauty and the Beast.

Class Opportunities

Middle and high schoolers have many opportunities to become involved in drama and speech.

The High School Speech and Debate Competitive Forensics class coaches high school students in the art of presentation and critical thinking. Members of this class compete in state and regional tournaments through the National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA).

The High School Musical Theater class helps students gain understanding of the evolution of musical theatre as a distinct performance genre and develops their acting, design, music, and movement skills for the musical theatre performances.
